MY PROFILE
amber was born in Cape Town and from an early age always had a deep connection and love of water.
Her artistic talent was apparent from an early age winning numerous competitions. she studied Fine arts and Graphics at high school were she achieved firsts for both. Art at this was her escape and love " Art is a way of running away without leaving home"
Amber then went on to achieve a Fine Arts degree at Stellenbosch University as well as a one year study of jewlry and photography. She has delved into the Film industry studying for a year in London and ultimately being drawn to special effects where she worked on set in South Africa for a period. Amber has also completed a window display qualification in London. Her interest and skills in Art are varied. Her experiences of life are expressed through her art. Her passion and love of water has lade a path to this latest direction and show.


	This is a vary topical area at present as the world is going through a climate change with escalating temperatures and sea levels rising. Amber's work uses mixed media, elements that are global and earthly bond. As the world is becoming more environmentally aware as well as more global this reaches out and touches every aware soul. Amber feels and believes that water is a state of mind, a gift from the heavens, the cups of the Gods. Amber is just starting a journey were she is reaching deep into her soul expressing thoughts and feelings through her art to the world in this period of evolution. Everything has a beginning, and some things have no end. The story of my work reflects the journey my life has taken so far. The mediums that I have used vary as well as the themes. My intense emotions and fears have hindered me as well as helped provide seeds of growth for my journey.
